Hello
My name is Jos Morrish
I have a long history of working with people and I have a special interest in balance/neurological issues and healthy ageing.
Before I moved to Australia I lived in the UK and worked in a lot of different people-related environments. From working in residential care with people with physical and mental difficulties, neurologically diverse people and elderly people, to working in a residential facility for teenagers and eventually as a case worker forpeople seeking asylum.
When I moved to Australia I changed direction and studied to become a yoga teacher and the connection between body and mind has fascinated me ever since.
I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2014 and then worked independently within various multi-disciplinary teams.
I am interested in how our bodies and minds respond to the stresses and challenges of everyday life.
Throughout our lives our bodies interact with the environment and this in turn shapes them.
The ability to adapt and improve remains with us throughout our lifespan but activity needs to be meaningful for us to engage in the long term.
I focus primarily on the journey of rehabilitation. The more research we do in this area the more we find it to be key to 'getting better'.
Movement is so important to our ability to participate in our lives and the lives of those we care about. Helping people recover this capacity is the most rewarding part of my job.

I am currently an average runner, occasional swimmer and recreational cyclist with a resigned attitude to the gym.
